Hailing from Santa Barbara, California, Rebelution has developed into a front-runner for grassroots, independent and touring driven music groups representing the Cali-Reggae genre. The Pier was fortunate enough to catch up with Eric Rachmany (singer and guitarist) from Rebelution following the band’s set at the Mesa Amphitheatre in Arizona. The Pier caught up with Fortunate Youth in Denver, Colorado at Cervantes Other Side and discussed the bands inception, where might Rasta Nana be and came to find out that Irie State of Mind is more than just the name of the band’s latest album. As the Seedless Summer Tour came to a close, The Pier was more than privileged to catch up with Kyle (singer/bass/guitar) from Slightly Stoopid. It was a warm Arizona night, but Slightly Stoopid had the barbecue fired up backstage and the ice chests filled with beverages from all over the world. Exclusive Interview w/Tatanka…

Tatanka just released a new single in July titled Parachutes that is expected to be on their new album set to be released this October. Blending an array of both electronic/dub and reggae music, it was a no brainer when The Pier was approached by dubtronic heavy hitters Tatanka to get together and discuss future plans for the next album coming out this October and the story behind the album title & the groups name, “Tatanka”.
