Tribal Seeds to Release “Roots Party” EP December 1

Three long years have passed since Tribal Seeds dropped their latest release Representing in 2014. However, the wait is officially over as fans and reggae enthusiasts alike will be pleased to hear that the San Diego-based reggae ensemble has cooked up a new batch of songs in the form of an EP titled Roots Party -– the album will hit the shelves December 1 via Tribal Seeds Music.

Dating back to their musical inception in 2005, in which they also released their first album Youth Rebellion, Tribal Seeds has propelled their way as one of the more iconic and notable groups across the reggae community. Having toured consistently and collaborated with high-profile artists for years, the band shows no signs of slowing down – this time with an eight track EP to include a Protoje guest feature as well.

Tribal Seeds had dropped and teased a couple of singles in lead-up to the announcement of Roots Party. They released their 2016 track “Surrender,” and recently unloaded the island-feeling track “Rude Girl” – which will also be featured as one of the songs on the EP. Thoughts & Prayers to Gonzo!

While the anticipation of the EP release is certainly worth getting hyped about, there is unfortunately some disheartening news. It had been reported that guitarist/vocalist Ryan “Gonzo” Gonzalez recently suffered a severe stroke. The positive news however is that Tribal Seeds tweeted a message from his girlfriend later stating that Gonzo had woken up to his old-self and is on the right path to a recovery! The news surfaced November 20. To support, fans have been asked to jam to and share his latest EP release ‘Round the Clock’ via Roots Musician Records which hit the streets back in September.

Our thoughts, prayers and hearts go out to Gonzo and his family, and you can grab your copy of the EP on iTunes today by clicking HERE!
