The Wailers ‘Legend’ 30th Anniversary & Tour!

On May 8th, 1984, a reggae album was released that would change the world forever. Now, 30 years later, people all across the globe continue to enjoy the sounds of “Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and The Wailers.”

In recognition of the iconic album’s worldwide success, The Wailers have announced that they will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of Legend with a nationwide tour!

Quickly becoming one of this summer’s “must see” shows, The Wailers will be performing the legendary album in its entirety for all concertgoers to enjoy. The band began their newest journey through the U.S. on May 8th with a show in Pennsylvania before traveling the rest of the nation and ultimately ending the tour in late July at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California.

On the 30th anniversary tour, fans from all over the nation will be able to witness their favorite tracks being performed live by the original creators of some of the world’s most recognized reggae songs to date. Original members included legends like Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh alongside the Barrett brothers on drum and bass. More recently, the legacy lives on as The Wailers are now led by Aston “Family Man” Barrett on bass. On tour, The Wailers will be performing popular reggae anthems such as “Is This Love”, “Three Little Birds”, “Stir It Up”, “Buffalo Soldier”, “Waiting In Vain”and more!

Now known as the best selling reggae album of all-time, over 30 million copies have sold worldwide. Legend has also been named the “Best Album of the 20th Century” by Time Magazine while reaching #46 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The Wailers were a huge part of this greatly influential album and with 40 years of consistent touring behind them, it is safe to say that The Wailers have been keeping Bob Marley and his legacy alive while they continue their “worldwide campaign to promote peace, love and equality through the message of reggae and Rastafari.”
