With the month of February beginning this weekend, 2013 is flying by with winter tours, new music, and great venues to capture it all! Although with the winter season still sprucing up some chilly nights, nothing like the inside of a crowded theatre or bar with your favorite bands on stage to warm your body right up! Ballyhoo! is heading back on a full-length national tour this month! The Aberdeen, Maryland quartet is teaming up with fellow East Coast reggae-rock band, KayaVibe as they start their month long Winter Wonderland Tour. Starting within KayaVibe’s home state of Florida, the same state where Ballyhoo! has been recording all month, the duo will be rocking Jannus Live Friday night and The Social in Orlando on Saturday. Ballyhoo! took some time to get the creativity flowing inside the studio, so is new music greeting the ears of fans this tour? KayaVibe just released their new single “Turn Around” this past Tuesday, so keep your fingers crossed for new tunes from both bands this upcoming tour!

New Zealand is the place to be this weekend! Aside from the beauty of the southwestern Pacific Ocean, New Zealand is the spot to find an amazing lineup Friday and Saturday at the Raggamuffin Festival! The lineup is without a doubt something to indulge in as well! To just name a few you may love like Rebelution, Katchafire, J Boog, The Green, Hot Rain, Fiji, The Black Seeds, Common Kings, and festival headliner, Ms. Lauryn Hill, the two day festival will be a sight to see live! With two stages set for the event, reggae lovers from the other side of the globe will be experiencing great artists one after the other. For all of our devoted Kiwi readers: Rage on music lovers!

Colorado is a reggae-rock hotbed along the touring circuit! Most bands are making sure to stop by at least one city on their tours, as Colorado sets up with large scale venues, a beautiful natural setting and a positive environment with each passing show. As the Heatseekers Tour continues on, a stop in Boulder and Fort Collins will be bringing out all those infatuated with reggae-rock to the doors of the Fox Theatre and the Aggie. Iration, Passafire and Pacific Dub are keeping the tour moving right along after last night’s show in Colorado Springs. The last big reggae-rock show at “The Fox” Sold Out, and this one will follow the same suit! If you are unable to get through the doors to witness Iration, Passafire and Pacific Dub, Major Lazer will be invading Morrison, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre the same night! Colorado, you have options!
