Tash Sultana’s Meteoric Rise to Perform at Coachella & Governors Ball

It’s hard to find a musician who had a better 2017 than Tash Sultana. In the blink of an eye, the incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist and singer from Melbourne, Australia has gone from busking street corners and playing small music clubs, to selling out practically every show she plays around the world. Sultana’s chops on the guitar, creativity with looping and pedals, and chilling vocals have earned her some much deserved buzz.

The meteoric rise of Tash Sultana over the past year or so has landed her a spot on the bill for two of the biggest festivals in the US: Coachella in Indio, CA and The Governors Ball in New York City. Sultana will play Coachella on Saturday, April 14th and 21st, 2018, joining the likes of Beyoncé, Tyler, the Creator, David Byrne, alt-J, and dozens of other top acts. Tash’s date and time slot haven’t been revealed yet for her performance at The Governors Ball in NYC (June 1st – 3rd, 2018), but she’ll be playing alongside a diverse collection of stars such as Eminem, Jack White, Damian Marley, Khalid, and more.

Natasha “Tash” Sultana has quickly become a household name across music circles due to the virality of her bedroom jam sessions on YouTube, and good old-fashioned word of mouth. The 22-year old musician puts on a jaw-dropping live show, utilizing numerous instruments on stage to create the sound of a full band, all by herself. Her 2016 EP Notion peaked at #8 on Australia’s music charts, and her single “Jungle” achieved the #3 spot for the Triple J Hottest 100 year end chart in 2016.

In addition to her slots at Coachella and Governors Ball, Tash will be hitting other major festivals around the world this summer. Then in Fall 2018, she’ll head out to Europe for a number of shows that are already nearly sold-out. Based off the success of her two previous tours through the US, we can expect her to make a return Stateside in the near future.
