After Sublime With Rome plays the Cypress Hill Smokeout in San Bernardino, CA on March 3rd, they’ll be heading out on the road for a quick tour with Everlast. The Cypress Hill 2012 Smokeout Music Festival lineup includes alternative-metal phenomenon Korn, the infamous Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa and Southern California’s own, The Dirty Heads.

There’s been talks of a solo album by Rome & according to Sublime With Rome’s website, Rome has been working on new material at The Record Plant recording studios working with producers Benny and B.o.B.

In 2010, Rome was featured on the #1 hit single by Dirty Heads with the song “Lay Me Down” that stood atop of the Alt Rock Charts for an Indy Band for a record setting 11 straight weeks. The previous record was held by none other than Everlast with his song “What It’s Like” from his second solo album Whitey Ford Sings the Blues in 1998.

Everlast, who combines a blend of Blues, Rock & Hip Hop, was the former member of the early 90’s group House of Pain who was best known for their hit single “Jump Around”.
