Sensamotion’s Debut Album & Spring Tour

Atlantic City’s SensaMotion are all set for the April 19th, 2016 release of their debut album, Over The Mountain. The Garden State roots rockers are also gearing up for their first headlining US tour, hitting over 20 cities, and ultimately joining up with Fortunate Youth for 4 shows in California at the end of May.

To kick their tour off, SensaMotion is hosting an album release party on 4/20 in their hometown of Atlantic City, NJ. The celebration also includes performances from South Carolina jamrock trio TreeHouse! and fellow South Jersey reggae group Lua.

The 7-piece reggae unit from the shores of South Jersey has been steadily picking up steam after collaborating on songs with Tatanka and Kings & Comrades, as well as the release of their 2014 EP Looking Up. SensaMotion has since added a horn section, only bolstering an already dynamic and distinguished sound. The band’s current roster includes Joseph Collepardi (lead vocals), Dylan Farina (guitar), Ray Worrick (bass), Adam Flicker (keys and vocals), Mike Crosson (drums), Bryan Northern (sax and vocals), and John Kromenacker (trumpet and vocals).

SensaMotion’s upcoming album, Over The Mountain, contains 12 tracks of multi-dimensional reggae, weaving timely drum and organ fills with imperial horns and rootsy vocals. Produced by Sensamotion and recorded/mixed at Kawari Sound Recording Studio and mastered by Mike Caplan, in Philadelphia, Over The Mountain brings a complete sound to the table, containing a handful of lovers rock and rocksteady tunes as well as others with a psych-reggae vibe. Also featured on the new album is a live mix of the title track “Over The Mountain” by Dub Architect. If you are a fan of SOJA’s Get Wiser and Born In Babylon albums, there’s a decent chance this album is right up your alley.

Make sure to check out SensaMotion’s tour dates below to see if they are stopping in a city near you. For select shows they will be joined by Rastasaurus, Spred The Dub, Signal Fire, Oceanstone, JahWorks and some other great local talent.
