Usually the music festivals are the talk of the summer. This summer does have plenty of amazing festivals, but the big summer tours seem to be a welcomed addition to everyone’s summer jam plans. Rebelution has already announced their Summer Crush Tour
311 and Slightly Stoopid are joining forces, Sublime w/ Rome, Cypress Hill, and Pepper have all teamed up for the summer, and now O.A.R and Rebelution have recently announced that they are going out on the road together on the Summer Crush Tour.
The tour starting July 12th in Indianapolis, Indiana runs until August 10th, with stops throughout the mid-west and northeast. Rebelution is set to perform on 17 of the 20 dates. ThePier.Org asked Rebelution about touring with mainstream O.A.R. and they sounded stoked, “We have never played a show with O.A.R and hear they are great guys so it should be a lot of fun. Summer tours are always nice because the weather is good, the venues are outdoors and it becomes a huge party atmosphere. We are really excited.”
In addition to the 17 dates together on tour, the bands will each hit major summer festivals. The run ends with big festival appearances. Rebelution will perform at Outside Lands Festival, while O.A.R will be at the Allman Brothers Band’s first ever Peach Tree Music Festival. There are so many great shows coming up. This summer is shaping up to be pretty excellent!
