Cisco Adler and Tayyib Ali have announced they will release their new six-song EP One Way on May 28th through Adler’s very own Bananabeat Records. 
In the summer of 2012, the duo locked themselves in Adler’s Malibu studio to collaborate on music. With years of friendship under their belts, the pair instantly clicked. The release takes its title from the fact that Philadelphia, PA, rap artist Ali booked a one-way flight to California in order to work on the record, and he hasn’t looked back ever since.
Not only does the collection fuse their enigmatic personal styles, it also bridges two distinct cultures. Ali’s intelligent and impenetrable flow bares traces of grit from his Philly upbringing as he drops true knowledge over his collaborator’s vibrant production.
Ali recently joined Adler on his hyper popular Road Trippin‘ tour, and you can expect the duo to join forces for more shows. In addition, Adler is readying another Bananabeat release, a remix of “Classic,” from his recent solo album Aloha, featuring none other than Boston hip-hop impresario Sammy Adams. That is set to drop this summer.
