Music Unites – Reggae Around The World

On August 6th, the world will be witness to another HUGE milestone for the constantly growing genre. A non-profit organization known as Music Unites has partnered up with Reggae bands and musicians all over the world to bring you “Music Unites – Reggae Around The World, Vol. 1!”

Reggae Around The World, Vol. 1 is a compilation that will feature 30 of the world’s finest Reggae artists! With help from Jordan Rosenthal of Fortunate Youth, Easy Star Records, Fortunate Entertainment, and Three Cornerstone Management, the abundance of talent was brought together for one amazing release.

Jordan explains, “The idea for this comp was sparked from what so many have done in the past; put out a music compilation and try to get it out to the world. The reason that many of my friends and I were able to find out about so many new bands when we were younger was because of all of the great compilations that were released in the 90’s and early 2000. So we would all like to give thanks to Epitaph, Fat, Drive Thru, Hell Cat, Asian Man, Moon Ska, and all of the other records labels that have helped us all find so much amazing music!!”

With a great commitment to bringing music education to underprivileged children in underfunded inner city school systems, the Music Unites Organization is a perfect fit to back this worldwide release. Many of the musicians featured on Volume 1 first started playing music while in school growing up, so it is important for them to give back to the youth in a time where many schools are getting rid of their music programs.

Jordan adds, “Music is such a powerful tool of expression and we never want anyone to not be able to fully express themselves in a world that has almost seemed to lose its voice.”

The compilation will be available to fans for $4.99 since that is the lowest that iTunes would go in price. All profits from digital sales will be donated to MusicUnites.org.

In addition, Volume 1 will be released for FREE across the entire world on digital download cards courtesy of Civilian Clothing Company. The other sponsor, also from Las Vegas, Nevada, is Waste Your Life Be An Artist. Although it will be available for free download, you can visit MusicUnites.org if you would like to donate money to this wonderful cause.

Fortunate Youth’s drummer, Jordan, left us with one last thought “All of the artists on this compilation are very thankful to be friends and family with each other. Together we share the same ideas of love and life. And together, we have the ability to help so many others. This is just the start of something beautiful that is going to be happening all across the world!”
