It’s been awhile since we checked in on Huntington Beach, CA’s Pacific Dub who released an EP back in March titled Take Me Away. The group has plans to release new music next year as we give away their single “Running Back” for FREE…

Pacific Dub “Running Back” Background:
While we anticipate new music from Pacific Dub, we wanted to revisit the March 2017 EP release of Take Me Away that included the track “Running Back.”
“We’ve always been humbled by the fans that come up to us at shows and tell us that they’ve been able to use our songs as an escape when they have problems that they’re dealing with, and may feel like they don’t have much hope,” the band tells The Pier of the inspiration behind the song. “‘Running Back’ is a song dedicated to those people as a reminder that no matter what they’re going through, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.”
The band has put out 2 EPs, misc. singles and 2 full length albums with a third expected to drop Spring 2018 followed by a headlining tour. The band is currently in the studio before announcing a tour for the fall while ending the year on a few dates with The Expendables.
Not much else to report on within the group, but we’re interested to see what Pacific Dub does moving forward in an ever evolving genre. Pacific Dub is no new comer to the community having made their presence known since 2009 when they dropped their debut EP followed by their debut album, Fire Eye, that featured Toko Tasi.

Pacific Dub Background:
Coming from Surf City USA, Pacific Dub resides in Huntington Beach which is nestled nicely in southern California’s Orange County. Other bands such as Korn, The Offspring, Avenged Sevenfold, and The Dirty Heads all have members that call this surfer’s paradise home.
Combining catchy chorus’s, heavy rock n’ roll guitar melodies, and smooth hip-hop and reggae rhythms are all significant characteristics that add to Pacific Dub’s coastal vibe, and genuine objective of creating innovative alternative-rock-reggae while sharing a message of love and peace.
