“Stereo System” Background:
When asked about the collaboration on the song “Stereo System”, aside from it being his favorite song to play live, Gonzo told The Pier “I have known Rick Haze for awhile and it was only appropriate to have him featured on at least one track that made the album.”
In 2012, Ryan Gonzo began working on his first solo album as an independent artist. The album ‘Rocksteady,’ with its release on December 25th, 2012, showcases his hard work and creativity. Aside from Rick Haze, Gonzo’s solo album also features Tribal Seeds newest member, E.N Young who was also the producer for the album.
“I was fortunate to work with a really great producer and friend of mine, E.N Young. It was recorded down at E. N’s Imperial Sound Studios in Imperial Beach, CA. I worked with E. N on most of the tracks and even had him featured on a couple of the songs, along with my boys in Roots in Peace and Rick Haze. The album is reggae, but has a little bit of everything Thrown into each track.”

Ryan Gonzo Background
Ryan Gonzales aka Gonzo was born and raised in South Bay, Los Angeles, California. The type of music Gonzo creates, he describes as “roots reggae trance.”
In July 1st, 2011, Gonzo released his first album, Irie State of Mind, with Fortunate Youth where he was their vocalist/guitarist. With Fortunate Youth he is also credited with two national tours, both in 2011, where they supported Tribal Seeds and a tour promoting their single, “One Love.” “Being with Fortunate Youth was such a success and learning experience, I was able to accomplish every goal we made as a band” says Gonzo.
In October of 2012, Gonzo joined the band Beyond I Sight.
