With Human Nature, we reached out to the band to get their take on how that track came together. It’s interesting to hear a reggae tribute rendition of a song made popular by Michael Jackson, featuring someone as talented as Cas Haley!
Here’s what producer Michael G. had to say about how the song came together:
“Cas was on our mind as a vocalist as soon as we started the Thrillah project. I knew that he shared my love of Michael Jackson’s music, and his vocal dexterity made him an obvious choice for inclusion on the album. Plus, he is part of the Easy Star family. We thought that ‘Human Nature’ would be a great fit for him because he could handle the twists and turns of the melody and make the song his own.”

The Easy Star All-Stars have again reverted back to their monumental tribute fashion with a new release set for August 28th 2012 via Easy Star Records. The ever-revolving cast of musicians has announced the release of their fourth tribute album honoring one of many famed musical icons.
The Easy Star All-Stars fourth tribute album will honor: Michael Jackson with their August release of Thrillah a long with a Billy Jean EP that was digitally released on July 12th. The Thrillah album will feature guest appearances by The Green, Mojo Morgan, Steel Pulse, Cas Haley, and many more.
Easy Star All-Stars Fall Tour:
Easy Star All-Stars will be promoting their THRILLAH album this Fall, starting September 7th. The first leg of the tour, includes 14 dates with Passafire, and a stop at the Shangri-La Music Festival. Also at this Minnesota music fest. will be Cas Haley.
Ted Bowne of Passafire told The Pier, “Easy Star is a legendary band and we are super stoked to be going out with them in September to promote their release of their new album ‘Thrillah’which I am personally VERY excited to hear”
Finally, in November, The Easy Star All-Stars cross the pond for a tour of the UK. The band has booked 16 dates, 10 of which, are with England’s own Laid Blak.
