“Lost At Sea” Background:
Ballyhoo! dropped their sixth studio album Pineapple Grenade on June 25th via their own Right Coast Records. The album includes 16 total tracks with your iTunes digital purchase and includes a produced track, “No Good” by Rome Ramirez of Sublime with Rome.
The incorporation of the new sounds were all part of Ballyhoo!’s master plan, and is even reflected in the album’s name. While visiting a friend in Denver, CO, Spangler discovered a small jar of medicinal marijuana called pineapple grenade. “….I thought to myself ‘I bet this packs a punch. All of the sudden a light bulb went off…album title! The idea is that ‘Pineapple Grenade’ illustrates an explosion of sounds, like the album,” says guitarist/vocalist, Howi Spangler
From their new album, the group has agreed to give away track 10 off their album Pineapple Grenade with the song “Lost At Sea. The song is available for FREE download this week only. Here’s what guitarist/vocalist Howi Spangler had to say about their song, “Lost At Sea”:
“‘Lost at Sea’ is a love song. I didn’t go too deep with it and try to come up with ridiculous metaphors and such. The lyrics are just honest things I would say to someone I have feelings for. I kind of tapped my 16 year old self here. I was a pretty hopeless romantic back then. I love the guitar intro. It’s just so pretty to me. I can close my eyes and be ‘there’. This one’s for the Wallflowers.

Ballyhoo! Background
With over 15 years in the making, Ballyhoo! has made a name for themselves nationwide and have dominated the east coast reggae/rock scene. Pineapple Grenade will mark the bands 5th studio album accompanied by a 40+ concert tour spanning 2 countries and 27 states, where they will co-headline with Authority Zero. They have shared the stage with the likes of 311, Slightly Stoopid, SOJA, The Dirty Heads, Matisyahu, and have recently performed at the 2013 Cali-Roots Festival. With a mix of a punk, alternative, reggae pop sounds Pineapple Grenade showcases examples of this bands up-beat fun sound.
