Katchafire’s Tour & “Best So Far” Album

New Zealands, Katchafire is currently on a nationwide tour and it’s a sweet warm up to the release of a greatest hits album titled Best So Far. The album will be released May 21, 2013 on VP Records.

Current members Tere Ngarua (on bass), drummer Jordan Bell, Jamey Ferguson (keyboard, sax and lead vocals), Haani Totorewa (also on keyboards and vocals), Logan Bell (on guitar and lead vocals), Grenville Bell and guitarist Leon Davey of New Zealand’s Reggae Rock band, Katchafire, are set to headline a huge U.S. Tour.

Katchafire will be playing across the West Coast and heading into the Midwest and South. They will dominate a wide array of smaller venues, large stages and major festivals including a final performance at the 4th Annual Cali Roots Music and Arts Festival.

The guys are certainly used to being touring warriors. They have toured extensively in the United States, Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom with respected and legendary musicians including The Wailers, Maxi Priest, UB40 and Arrested Development.

It’s certainly a relief to see that the band is still going strong and have established their own sound since their beginnings as a Bob Marley tribute band in the late 90s. For their new album, Katchafire has selected sixteen of their favorite tracks from their four previously released albums. Most of the songs on the Best So Far album have landed in the Top 10 of New Zealand’s Top 40 Singles Chart. The album is primed for many rewinds and replays.
