Echo Movement’s New Album & Art!

Echo Movement, the six-piece band out of Asbury Park, New Jersey, as officially publicized the cover art for their upcoming album Love and the Human Outreach. The concrete release date for their third full-length album is September 4th, just after they return from the Vans Warped Tour.

Love and the Human Outreach has its roots in love, travel, space, and evolution. In fact, the band took actual data from the NASA Kepler Space Telescope Mission and turned it into audio data. Essentially, the raw space data was composed into a five-part melody, holding true to the album’s roots of space exploration and bringing something undoubtedly unique to the record. This is just one of many surprises Love and the Human Outreach has in store, so don’t forget to pick it up September 4th!

Brothers Dave and Stephen Fowler of the Echo Movement were quite excited about the scientific aspect of the album, something they had been looking to do for a while:
”For us, this album is thematically something we’ve been wanting to create for a long time. The music was heavily influenced by evolution, astrophysics and quantum mechanics, and tells the tale of a great journey. We had a lot of sessions with Jay to narrow down what we felt would be a great visual compliment to the music. Epic as he is, Jay combined all those ideas to create the star and planet. The detail he poured into the flames is remarkable, and portrays a lot of the little stories woven into the album lyrics.”

The Pier also had a chance to hear from Jay Alders, the artist who painted the Love and The Human Outreach cover art, the second album on which he has done work for the band.

”Working on this painting really pushed me to explore new subject matter. There is a lot of hidden surrealistic imagery in this piece which incorporates concepts conceived among Stephen, Dave and myself. We spent many countless hours on Skype meetings and calls before the piece even hit my easel.”

The work that went into the making of the album, both on the tracks and the cover art alike, which should be exciting for fans as they wait for the release date. So, as the summer approaches, look out for Echo Movement on the Vans Warped Tour and pick up Love and the Human Outreach in stores September 4th!
