Easy Star All-Stars Reveal West Coast 2017 Tour Dates

Versatile reggae collective Easy Star All-Stars have been gracing the speakers and headphones of many for almost 15 years with their eclectic original tracks as well as their ever-growing covers catalog — most recently with Thrillah in 2012 to pay homage to the great Michael Jackson. The band is now shifting focus to their live shows, as they’ve announced their 2017 West Coast Tour with support from The Late Ones and The Elovaters

Few bands have seen as much widespread success from cover album efforts as Easy Star All-Stars. The New-York originated four-piece outfit have tried their hand at honoring many notable artists with their own classic reggae-dub spin, to include Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Michael Jackson and easy star all stars tour 2017Radiohead. Also, certainly not to be overlooked would be their original material as well that they’ve been putting together for over a decade. Their Dub Side of the Moon cover album of Pink Floyd has kept them on the Billboard Reggae Chart for seven years, and their efforts with Thrillah and Lonely Hearts Dub Band notched the #1 spot on the charts as well.

Perhaps their biggest draw is their energetic live performances. Before heading into the studio later this year to record their follow-up effort to Thrillah, the band recently announced that they’ll be hitting the road in late May starting with a set at California Roots 2017, after which they’ll be joined by The Late Ones and The Elovaters for tour dates to extend through June.

Brothers Tui and Tau Avei and cousin Josh Brunson of The Late Ones will provide an added layer of energy and excitement with their roots-reggae style and fusion of jazz, hip-hop and R&B, and the band has also been gaining more and more notoriety having performed at One Love Cali Fest as well as Reggae Rise Up earlier in 2017.

Also riding the wave of momentum, Boston, MA based The Elovaters recently announced a tour of their own that they will be crossing over a few tour dates with Easy Star All-Stars and The Late Ones -– their Higher Ground Tour — which will also feature supporting acts from Dubbest, Oceanstone and Sensi Trails.

While The Late Ones & Easy Star All-stars will both be playing Cali-Roots festival over memorial day weekend, this tour officially kicks off on May 29th at the Echoplex in Los Angeles, CA before wrapping up on June 9th at The State Room in Salt Lake City, UT.

Collectively, with such an epic lineup you won’t want to be on the sidelines for this one! Check out the full listing of tour dates and locations and make sure you grab tickets to the Easy Star All-Stars West Coast Tour 2017 before it’s too late!
