Dirty Heads Upcoming Acoustic Album

Longtime Dirty Heads fans who watched the group grow from a 3 piece acoustic line up early on, to a now 6 man touring group, have reason to be excited. The Huntington Beach locals, who first released demo’s of acoustic material starting out, are headed back to their roots with plans to release an all acoustic album!

The group plans on releasing approximately 12 songs, all of them brand new with the exception of one. While there is no release date set for the album, their social network updates share that the guys are currently putting the final touches on the all acoustic album. Originally the idea was that the group would re-record old songs acoustic, but come to find out, the group decided to just go with the flow of new material.

Here’s what Dirty Heads vocalist Jared Watson told The Pier in regards to the upcoming release: “We got in the studio and started writing new songs and had such a blast, we just kept going. We never got around to remixing old songs acoustically. We made this album off of pure vibe.” Jared continues by sharing, “We didn’t worry about structure or formula or any other bullshit. Just pure vibe and feel. It’s a very mellow vibey summer album. It’s sexy too! Some babies are gonna get made to this album on purpose or not.” Jared also shared “We filmed a live jam session that will be included with the digital purchase (of the album). You will only be able to buy this album digitally or on vinyl.”

Sticking to familiar quality, Dirty Heads went through their old pal & producer Lew Richards at 17th Street Recording Studios in Costa Mesa; The same producer responsible for much of the groups production since their inception.
