First to understand how the show started off, you have to understand a little bit about West Chester. It’s a college town with bars on every street and places to eat, open till 3:00 am. If you have ever been to Federal Hill, it kind of reminded me of a smaller version of Federal Hill in Baltimore, MD. Everyone we ran into on the street before heading to 15th North were friendly and just wanted to have a good time. Except the man who threw a flyer off his car onto the ground, which I did pick up for him and threw it in the trash where it belonged. Protecting our mother earth is an important thing this day and age and is sometimes overlooked, but I will control the hipster in me and get to the show. Because let’s be honest that is why you are reading this review.

We got to the 15 North venue and Three Legged Fox was playing while we were walking in. After paying the inexpensive $12.00 cover, that by the end of the night was way worth it, we ordered our drinks of choice and proceeded to the front passing by Bam from Jackass who I guess was there for the same reason we were - to hear some kick ass reggae music. Three Legged Fox lead singer, Kyle Wareham, sings with so much emotion and you can tell not just him, but all of the band are really having a blast. One of the highlights was Move On, that song is just such an awesome mix of reggae/rock and has a funk vibe to it and between the bass and Kyle’s vocals you can’t help moving to it.

The band also played a cover of Sorry by SOJA and did a very respectful job on it; I’m sure SOJA was proud. Three Legged Fox played an awesome show, so good that everyone was screaming "one more" while they were getting off the stage. The band relented and played another before heading off to let the Fear Nuttin Band come on.

This was going to be the first time I had ever heard anything at all from Fear Nuttin Band so I didn’t know what to expect and was very excited. The minute they started playing, the lead singer comes up out of the audience and jumps on stage and starts going at it, sending his reggae-style vocals hitting off the hardwood floors to the ceiling. Right at that moment my feet moved from the ground to mid air and they say white man can’t jump? My 5ft ass was jumping like never before, while my long hair was flying all around. The energy that they were sending off from on stage was incredible.

During the FNB set Bobby Lee, singer and bassist for SOJA, joined in with the vocals for one of the FNB songs. Surprises like this go along away in making an unforgettable show and I can’t believe I almost forgot about it. After seeing these guy’s I have moved them up to one of my favorite underground bands and can’t wait to catch them again VERY SOON!

I have seen SOJA perform two other times before this and they were the main reason I brought my friends along. Now I can’t remember all the songs that SOJA played because I’ll be honest I wasn’t just drinking Yuengling. That night I had a couple shots and was feeling greater then great. You have to be feeling that way when you are thrown such great energy that was spawned by great music. SOJA ended up playing just about every song off their new EP, Stars and Stripes, and some songs off Get Wiser and Peace in a Time of War. Like every SOJA show I had been to before the energy from these guy's was incredible: jumping around, dreads not flying as much cause they had them tied up for this show, but it was an awesome show and I can't wait to see them again soon.

Three Legged Fox, Fear Nuttin Band and SOJA all put on a fantastic night and one final thing I will say about all of these bands is they ceratinly are "live bands."
