Allen Stone’s “Guardian Angel” ft. Jacob Hemphill

ATO Records has released a remix of rising R&B-soul singer Allen Stone’s “Guardian Angel”, which includes a new verse featuring SOJA frontman Jacob Hemphill. Grammy award winning producer Supa Dups remixed the song from Allen Stone’s 2015 album Radius, blending in a steady reggae rhythm beside Stone’s easy voice. (more…)

3rd Annual Cali-Roots Carolina Sessions: Postponed!

Some sad news, thanks to the weather, for this weekends 3rd annual California Roots: The Carolina Sessions Festival in its first year at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion in Myrtle Beach, SC. Thunderstorms with 20mph winds will prevent this highly anticipated festival from making it’s South Carolina debut. This festival will now be postponed to the spring… (more…)

5 Festivals in May To See Reggae Rock

Summer is right around the corner and for anybody that loves live music, that only means one thing – It’s finally music festival season! Fortunately, during the month of May, festival season really gets going. With events all over the place it is sometimes hard to pick which events to attend. For The Pier, we tend to choose events that are a bit top-heavy with the booking of reggae-rock bands. The Pier will be at many events this summer, but this month we’ll be sure to check out these five fests. (more…)

California Roots Presents has finally revealed all the details surrounding their east coast event, The Carolina Sessions. Shifting south of the Boarder to Myrtle Beach and pushing the festival’s date back to a day in early October, one thing that has definitively not changed with this great event is its highly anticipated line-up! SOJA East Coast Tour w/ J Boog & The Green

In 2015 SOJA continues on tour, supporting their Grammy nominated record, Amid The Noise and Haste. After opening their year with a spot down in Jamaica, the band is set for their first US run of the year, a 14 show east coast tour with special guests on select dates, The Green, JBoog, Leilani Wolfgramm and Common Kings.
