Video: Dirty Heads – My Sweet Summer (Acoustic)

Jam In The Van was in full effect at this past California Roots Music & Arts Festival in May. In addition to filming the likes of Fishbone, Fortunate Youth, Beebs & Her Money Makers, Ethan Tucker, KBong they also filmed Dirty Heads inside their Solar-Powered van. Video Premiere: Soul Majestic – Deep Green

Here is the video premiere for the brand new single “Deep Green” by Santa Barbara, CA own Soul Majestic. The song is called “Deep Green” and it’s part of their #SongAMonth campaign leading up to their forthcoming new album Pass It Around. Bad Brains Returning with New EP

Blending reggae and punk since the seventies, Bad Brains recently announced plans for a new EP. Filling in for the Brains’ iconic lead singer H.R. will be Jamaican jammer Jesse Royal. While details for the new release are limited, the collaboration between Brains and Royal will certainly cause fans of the band’s reggae side to rejoice. (more…)

Video: Sublime – What I Got

It was 19 years ago today that Sublime released their iconic self-titled release via MCA Records… July 30, 1996 for those that don’t want to count backwards. The album was produced by David Kahne and Paul Leary resulting in a masterpiece that created a sub-genre of music with an impact felt through the entire music industry. The Pier exists today because of Sublime and all of their wonderful influences of music we’d later discover. Enjoy the song and video…
