Hirie Discusses ‘Wandering Soul’

Video: The Green – “Mama Roots’ (ft. J Boog)

It’s been since 2013’s Hawai’i 13 that we’ve seen a new full length record from The Green. They kicked off 2016 with a new single, “Roots” on January 8th, followed by a Dennis Brown tribute track with “Promised Land” for the We Remember Dennis Brown compilation on Feb. 26th and now, we have their latest single “Mama Roots” featuring J Boog that dropped on June 10th. Video: Iration – “Hotting Up”

Still reeling from the July 2015 release of their last studio album, Hotting Up, Iration has released the official music video for the album titled track. The animated video was created by Lauren Crawford, written and directed by Michael H. Burnett with assistant director Alex Zurowski. Front-man Micah Pueschel shares: “We wanted to do something different and offer a different perspective on this song as well as try to help inform people about what we feel are issues that everyone shares no matter where you are from. Our planet is something as humans we all share, so it is everyone’s responsibility to understand what is happening to it. The Return of Save Ferris!

The third wave of ska throughout the ’90s was not complete without Orange County, California’s Save Ferris. Singer Monique Powell, guest vocalist in Reel Big Fish’s hit “She Has a Girlfriend Now” from the album Turn the Radio Off, has been focusing Save Ferris’ triumphant return to the stage while writing and rehearsing new and classic songs for upcoming records.
