2016 Reggae SumFest in Montego Bay, Jamaica

This summer, the hottest names in reggae and dancehall will gather once again in Montego Bay, Jamaica for Reggae SumFest. 23 years running, 2016’s Reggae SumFest will takes place July 17-23. Though the official lineup has yet to be announced, the festival’s alumni list includes top tier recording artists from Jamaica and beyond. (more…)

Signal Fire’s New Music Video + New Album

Dirty Heads & Sublime with Rome Summer Tour 2016

Dirty Heads and Sublime with Rome will be joining forces this summer on a 29-show tour across the U.S. The tour officially kicks off with Sublime with Rome and Tribal Seeds next month on June 25th; Dirty Heads will join the tour starting July 1st in Florida along with others on various dates including 311, Matisyahu, New Kingston, and Bleeker. Reggae Rise Up’s Summer Concert Series

Sunday plans just got a whole lot easier in Florida this summer. Reggae Rise Up recently revealed their latest initiative, a monthly concert series held at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, Florida called the Rise Up Sunday Sessions. On the last Sunday of each month this summer, Reggae Rise Up will host some of the reggae rock scene’s biggest names. (more…)

Watch: Slightly Stoopid – “Purple Rain” (Live Cover)

Slightly Stoopid returned to TRI Studios on April 21st performing 30 songs with guest appearances by Chali2na, Marlon Asher, Bob Weir, Don Carlos, and Angelo Moore of Fishbone. To recognize the passing of Prince, Slightly Stoopid closed out the live performance webcast with a cover of “Purple Rain” with Angelo Moore on lead vocals. The cover was sensational as it was unplanned considering the news was announced earlier that afternoon of Prince’s passing. MAGIC! Announces Release of New Album

Canadian quartet MAGIC! have announced July 1st, 2016 as the release date for their sophomore album, Primary Colors. The new album follows the overwhelming success of their 2014 debut Don’t Kill The Magic. Working alongside Grammy Award-winning producer Adam Messinger, MAGIC! have compiled a collection of original songs written entirely by the band. (more…)
