Ballyhoo! has just premiered “Run,” the first single off the band’s much-anticipated 5th studio album, Pineapple Grenade due out June 25th. The album will be released independently via the groups newly launched record label, Right Coast Records.
Guitarist/Vocalist, Howi Spangler, explains how “Run” is a song anyone can relate to: “This is a song about being at the end of your rope, needing to drop everything and leave. A very primal “Fuck it” moment. Wanting to take control of your life and get things in order. I think we’ve all felt a loss of control at one point or another.”
The new 14-track album is a step forward for the band in many ways, including a new track produced by Rome Ramirez of Sublime with Rome and mixed by Paul Leary.

Alongside the album release, Ballyhoo! will co-headline the 2013 Summer Sickness Tour with Authority Zero and special guests Versus The World. The 2-month trek kicks off May 31 in Tempe, AZ and includes 40+ shows across 27 states spanning from California to Canada to Florida. You can check those tour dates HERE
Pineapple Grenade is Ballyhoo!’s first new album since releasing Daydreams in the Fall of 2011, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Reggae Charts and #4 on Amazon. Ballyhoo!’s relaxed sound mixed with the band’s energetic performance style has been gaining a reputation on the national alternative radio scene as well.
