Various Artists- Reggae Around The World Vol. 1
    Release Date: August 6
A non-profit organization known as Music Unites has partnered up with Reggae bands and musicians all over the world for the August 6th, release of Music Unites – Reggae Around The World, Vol. 1, a HUGE milestone for the constantly growing genre.

Reggae Around The World, Vol. 1 is a compilation that will feature 30 of the world’s finest Reggae artists! With help from Jordan Rosenthal of Fortunate Youth, Easy Star Records, Fortunate Entertainment, and 3 Cornerstone Management, the abundance of talent was brought together for one amazing release.

With a great commitment to bringing music education to underprivileged children in underfunded inner city school systems, the Music Unites Organization is a perfect fit to back this worldwide release. Many of the musicians featured on Volume 1 first started playing music while in school growing up, so it is important for them to give back to the youth in a time where many schools are getting rid of their music programs.

The compilation will be available to fans for $4.99 since that is the lowest that iTunes would go in price. All profits from digital sales will be donated to MusicUnites.org. You can pick up Reggae Around The World Vol. 1on iTunes now, by clicking HERE! Read more about the album HERE!

    The Green –Hawai’i ’13
    Release Date: August 20
Straight out of Hawaii comes The Green, releasing their highly anticipated new album titled Hawai’i 13 on August 20th via Easy Star Records. This is the groups third studio album and was recorded & mixed with Danny Kalb out of Costa Mesa, CA via Hurley Studios.

Hawai’i 13 is the first album by The Green using a dedicated producer & engineer with Danny Kalb. The albums title, Hawai’i 13, carries inspiration with not just the year it’s being released, but the fact that the album will also include 13 songs. In addition, it’s significance stems from hometown influences as Zion shares “It’s also a reference to a song that we grew up with called ‘Hawai’i ’78’ by Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwo’ole. The song deals with the issues and ongoing conversations about the changes that have happened to our land and people. It questions how our ancestors would react to seeing things like over-crowding, technological advancements and unwanted industrial growth. Something that many people and cultures around the world can relate to, but is an ongoing issue to the people of Hawai’i to this day and is still very fresh in our minds. On this record we wanted to encapsulate this push and pull feeling of both a connection to the past and a progression forward, all in one.”
