Trenchtown Bio/Background:
Trenchtown is a five-piece group from Jerome, Michigan combining the elements of punk, rock, reggae metal and pop to obtain their sound. Originally formed in the fall of 1996 under the band name Maryz Eyez, the group consists of Ryan Wagler (lead vocals), Eric Wagler (bass), Mike Nichols (rhythm guitar), Greg Bolenbough (lead guitar) and Mike Burlett (drums).

In 2008, the band uprooted and transplanted to Hermosa Beach, California. Finally in a beach town that fit the sound, and adding long-time high school pal Greg Bo on lead guitar, the band took on the moniker Trenchtown.

Trenchtown released their self titled EP back in August of 2010 and their latest release includes the full length ”Against The Sun” album that was released on Oct 4th 2011. The album was engineered and co-produced by Biohazard guitarist Billy Graziadei and it’s release has received high acclaim and credibility.

Their first single of the self-titled EP, “Ay Oh”, was met with great feedback from radio stations, and the world famous LA radio station, KROQ, who chose Trenchtown as the top #1 band on their LocalsOnly show. The band was featured on their top #5 LocalsOnly chart for more than two months.

Trenchtown’s “Unpaid Holiday” and “Pourin Rain” from their latest album are featured as part of the soundtrack to MLB2K11 (released March 8, 2011) and ”Unpaid Holiday” was voted best track on the game, beating the likes of Pearl Jam etc.

Here’s what the group had to say about the song “Waves”: “We’re big fans of LA punk so the head bobbing reggae groove, power guitar riffs and poppy vocals of “Waves” fits perfectly into our newest mixtape. We’re going to drop them in right between Social Distortion and something from Bob Marley‘s Catch A Fire album.”. -Trenchtown
