Micah Brown Bio/Background:
Micah Brown is a twenty-something guitarist and singer-songwriter based in Dana Point, California. A Southern California boy, his music emanates and connects with his ancestral roots from the South, while also showcasing what the sunny side of life in his native California is all about. Brown has been turning heads and drawing lofty comparisons on the heels of his debut release Down Like Hail in January and is creating quite a restive anticipation of what’s to come next. His latest accomplishment would be taking home the 2011 OC Music Awards Best Acoustic title this February.

Micah’s music blends his early influences of blues and folk and fluidly invokes the sounds of southern California and combines them with his love for Americana to create a unique, fresh and eclectic twist on the singer-songwriter sound. He co-produced and released his solo project of original music with producer Lewis Richards (Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads) from 17th Street Recording Studios in Costa Mesa.

This week’s artist radar selection was a no brainer after listening to only thirty seconds of his featured single Coming of Age. Micah’s vocals are heartfelt and sincere as he tells his story with his acoustic guitar. His music pains a warm southern California scene-scape as his melodies carry you through his musical journey with him.
