From Bag of Toys Myspace: Bag of Toys is planning their first tour of the Southeast in late May or June and we need your help!! There are many ways you can assist, such as:
1. Recommending the cities you think would be best for Bag of Toys to play in (right now we're only considering the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida).
2. Tell us which venues we should target (500 person capacity rooms or less)
3. Even better...let us know if you have any connections at places we would do well, such as fun little bars on the beach. Names, emails, phone numbers...etc of people you know that book bands at fun venues. Anyone that sends us valuable, useful info will be hooked up with some Bag of Toys goodies, including a signed copy of our new album to be released in April/May!!
We love you and will hopefully see some of you out east soon.
880 South is working up a early April CD Release Party for the album Youth Bus Sessions Vol 1. This show is going to be ginormous and we're super excited because we're doing something very innovative and promising with this show. Let's just say for once instead of the fans taking care of us. We are going to return the favor. Stay tuned folks.

The Street Pharmacy is a four piece reggae rock band from Welland Ontario. The band consists of Ryan Guay (vocals/guitar), Nate Triano (guitar), Brandon Ventresca (bass) and Danial Fretz (Drums). In 2006, after several years of playing with in an assortment of different rock, punk and hardcore bands, these four friends decided that it was time to write some songs with a fresh reggae sound.

Check out the album title song Cheers posted on the band's MySpace RIGHT HERE.
Ballyhoo! Vocalist/guitarist Howi told The Pier this about the song:
"There is a song I'm pretty excited about. It's called Cheers and it is a big thank you and acknowledgment to all the fans and friends we have met touring and for all the hospitality we have received. People let us sleep on their couches, eat their food and drink their beer and pretty much do anything we need when we are on the road. For a touring band it is hard and any help you can get is much appreciated.
There have been a handful people that have been very good to us, so I thought I should write a thank you to the fans and now friends just for them. The tentative title for it was Irish Power Ballad. The song feels exactly as that sounds. Just picture yourself with a mug of beer and you are swinging back and forth singing to an Irish drinking song and it's also a power ballad. Very like wearing leather pants, you're on fire and there is thunder and lightning. If that makes any sense?"
Not really Howi (lol), but when you hear the song it makes perfect sense.
The new compilation is to be titled Poetry in Motion, with a late April/early May release date planned.
As first reported in The Pier's Most Anticipated Albums of 2008, this CD will include NEW & UNRELEASED MUSIC from such bands as: Dirty Heads Chapter 11 Ballyhoo! Bredrin Daddys The B Foundation Fayuca Close Enough RAC Dub NoNeedz Mike Pinto w/ Special guest appearances by LuLu, Big Nes & more.
