This week's Exclusive MP3 Leak is all the way from the UK. Download the So Long Remix from Captain Bud. Look for an interview with the band right here @ The Pier later in the week.
Captain Bud Bio: Captain Bud MySpace Formed in early 2006 as a punk band, Captain Bud quickly gained a local following of punks, surfers, stoners, skaters and misfits while playing the local live music dives.
Gaining confidence and momentum the band branched out around the SouthWest of England and quickly found they could entertain people in any venue from punk rock pits to trendy bars. This had a lot to do with the genre defying sound the band was forging. Consisting of dub, reggae, folk, rockabilly and of course punk rock. Their high-energy shows are an awesome experience, one minute you’re witnessing the madness of a full scale mosh pit and the next you were grooving to a deep dub bass line with the smell of ganja in the air.
Taking influences from the Californian reggae punk scene where bands like Sublime, Rancid, NoFx and Slightly Stoopid were spawned, the Kingston dub vibes of Lee Scratch Perry, the aloha surf sounds of Jack Johnson, and of course the politically charged anger of UK punk rock! The band has managed to forge its own unique sound and party vibe that any one can be part of.
In 2006 the band released its first independent EP entitled “Charlie Don’t Surf” this rough demo was received well by reviewers and fans alike. Then came 2007’s full length release “Wicked Woman” this went down even better and was released world-wide on download sites such as Napster and iTunes by DIY label PipeLine Records, showing the band were not just a crazy live act but accomplished song writers and mature musicians.
Constantly gaining new fans and with a new drummer on board the band is back writing new material and are due to release a new EP and start touring in the spring of 2008.
Check out the new Kottonmouth Kings track, Can Anybody Hear Me, from it upcoming Greatest Highs album RIGHT HERE. To be honest it sounds like the best track I have heard the guys do in ages.
The band has also announced its first ever Australian Tour Dates:
Mar 6 2008 Coolangatta Goldcoast, Queensland Mar 7 2008 Gaelic Theatre (AA) Sydney, NSW Mar 8 2008 Cambridge Hotel Newcastle, NSW Mar 9 2008 Corner Hotel Melbourne, VIC

On March 25, 2008, in addition to a traditional CD release, the new Pennywise album will be available for FREE for download on MYSpace for two weeks. If you'd rather buy the actual physical CD or vinyl album, it will be available everywhere you usually buy your music, but for the people who have been trying to download our music for free illegally on the web, we worked out an arrangement for you to get our new music for free for two weeks, without the feds coming after you. All you have to do is add myspace.com/textango as a friend...and everyone who is a friend by 3/25/08 will get the entire album for free.
You won't get any spam or crap like that and the download will be high quality and DRM free. The physical CD you can buy in stores will come with a bonus exclusive DVD and there will also be a limited-edition vinyl version that includes 2 additional tracks all available on March 25th - so stay tuned for more info on that.
We're offering the new album free for download because we want as many people as possible to hear our music, but we know a lot people don't have the resources to do so, and after years of putting out albums we think it's time to give back to the fans who have stuck with us over the years.

From MySpace, also look for a High Tide interview here shortly @ The Pier:
Just wanted to throw some info out to everyone and let you all know what we've been up to and how things are going.
First off we'd like to formally welcome High Tide's sixth and newest member, our good friend Rolando on the black and whites. His smooth style on the keys has added an aspect to our music that has proved to be crucial these last few months in the studio and we're lovin' every minute of it.
As you might have noticed, we have been working with San Diego's Baby Mouse the past few weeks collaborating on both his and High Tide's original tunes. Together we played a packed house in El Cajon last Friday night and feedback from both High Tide riders and the Baby Mouse crew was nothing but positive. HT is definitely looking forward to working with Mouse in the future and the posibility of shows/events grows every time we hit the studio together.
The five, now six of us have been in the studio quite a bit the last month or two and we're working on some great new material. Some of you might have heard a quick rendition of "Good Cop, Bad Cop" or "What Should I Do?" but we're constantly improving sections and hope to bring more new material to the live show soon. We've got a handfull of other material we're working on for the next record and look forward to letting all of you hear it soon.
We are currently working on ideas for our second Cali/West Coast tour. We've got a couple of ideas for spots to chill but if ya'll want us to roll through your parts, send us an email and we'll try our damndest to make it out there.
That said, we look forward to seeing all of you on the dancefloor soon. Meantime, we'll keep working hard for ya for sure...
Featuring ex-members from P-Nuckle, check out Denver's coolest new band The Language. The guys have three pretty tight songs up for download right now on its MySpace page, which you can check out RIGHT HERE.
