International Reggae Sensation, Alborosie, hailing from Sicily, Italy has just released his newest album Sound the System in Europe with plans for a US release in October. In the meantime you can find Alborosie on an international tour.
Originally, Alborosie was a member of the Reggae National Tickets, but decided to go solo in 2001. After going solo he moved to Jamaica where he became a national citizen and has gone on to become extremely respected in the classic reggae sense. He has received international success with tours throughout Europe, Mexico and the United States.
Sound the System marks a new landmark in Alborosie’s music career as the 16 track album was written and produced by Alborosie himself. And not only did he write and produce, but he also did almost all of the albums instrumental arrangements.
Key features on the album include Ky-Mani Marley on the Bob Marley classic “Zion Train” and Italian star Nina Zilli on the song “Goodbye”. Also the Abyssinians make a guest appearance on “Give Thanks”.
This summer kicked off for Alborosie not only with his Euro release of Sound the System, but he did it right in the beginning of his summer tour. This tour will end up hitting 35 cities spanning 15 countries and go into the end of August.
