The Artist Farm - Squeezing the Show
By Seth Herman (Manager of John Brown's Body and N. American manager of The Black Seeds)
I have been a fan of ThePier.org for a few years now. Philip originally contacted me about and interview with John Brown's Body at the end of 2007. Since then I have followed the transformation of The Pier from a website into a community of people who love roots rock reggae. The Pier has not only kept me up to date on what other bands are doing, but it has helped create more awareness of the scene we are all part of.
As a fan of the movement, I wanted to give all the musicians who visit The Pier a free book my friend Ben Coe who co-founded The Artist Farm wrote (Ben also used to be day-to-day manager of John Butler Trio). I work with Ben over at The Artist Farm, and each day am inspired by his ideas on the music industry.
This is a must read for any artist or music industry professional interested in marketing live performance. It's filled not just with great ideas but a time line for implementation" -Hypebot.com

If you are a musician I hope this helps you. If you are a fan of music, I hope the resources described in the book are put to use by the bands to help you discover their music.
Its all about the music.
