Welcome to the video premiere of “Throwback”, the fun and upbeat new single by Tomorrows Bad Seeds featuring Garret Douglas. The video was directed by John DeTemple and shot on location in the group’s hometown of Hermosa Beach, CA on the Pier. The group invited out all of their close fans, friends and family to come down for the video shoot to capture a mob of everyone united in one setting.
Here’s what the group tells The Pier of the video shoot: “We had no idea how many people were actually going to show up, and we ended up with a turn out of 150+ people. We had one chance to capture the mob shot down the pier before we got shut down and the cops came… No, we didn’t pull permits. We got everything in one shot, ‘Guerrilla Style.’ It was really special to have all of our people show up to join us for this epic shot! It was so much fun and such an amazing experience connecting with our Fans, Friends and Family that way! One of the best stories by far is the shot when (lead-singer) Moi calls over his wife, Ali, and grabs the baby stroller from her with his new born son, Kaden, riding in it. Ali was running late and we didn’t think she was going to make it down to the pier in time. At one of the most touching points of the song she walked right into the shot, completely unplanned. There were a handful of stories like that. Mets’ entire family showed up, and there are couple of shots where his daughter, Mia, is front and center in her ‘IM A BAD SEED’ shirt.” Enjoy the song and video…
