RAC, the 5 piece Surf, Reggae, Punk-Rock group from Glendale, AZ has just launched a weekly updated video cast that’ll feature video of the group performing acoustic songs along with updates regarding the groups new music & upcoming tours. Click the pic below to hear about their upcoming show with Authority Zero as well as them performing a new song acoustic, entitled Valley of the Scum thats featured on the new Sense Boardwear Acoustic Compilation

Northern California’s own, Top Shelf, has been recording their second full length album with plans to drop it early Spring 2011. A small California tour is booked for the boys to give everyone a little taste of the new songs before they get to work in the studio.

Pacific Dub has released a new single entitled Best Of All Time. The song was produced by Lewis Richards of 17th St. Studios out of Costa Mesa, CA & the album art was done by Casey Sullivan of the group Seedless.

Settling in from their Summer SoundSystem tour w/Mike Pinto, Howi of Ballyhoo! announced in a Facebook posting that:
“Ballyhoo! will be releasing 2 brand new songs to iTunes & other digital outlets very soon. More info to come….”

It is with sad news that we announce that The Pier founder & Chief Contributor Pilipo has decided it is time for him to do something new & seek other endeavors. Pilipo, who started The Pier on Aug 15th, 2007 wishes all the bands & everyone involved in The Pier all the best for the future. His presence & passion for the scene has been greatly appreciated & will be truly missed. After three years, Pilipo would like to thank the fans that support this online magazine – “It was a good time”.

Pilipo leaving, does not mean the end of The Pier as we still plan to build and progress the site to new heights in bringing you constant updates to the site, store & content. We want to wish Pilipo all the best in his future endeavors; and for all the hard work, sacrifices & countless hours interviewing & reviewing music and posting endless enjoyable content, we want to say THANK YOU
