Classic Music Video: Freakdaddy

A manifestation of mulit-cultural influences, FREAKDADDY was a band from La Puente, California, mixing its own style of rock, reggae and hip hop to create the signature FREAKDADDY sound. The band also featured the vocal talents of Alan Meade (No Doubt & Starpool) and Jim Perkins (Dumbluck).

This is a video for the song Hawaii Theater, turn it up on your speakers as the volume is a little low, but this track is definitely worth hearing!

The Pier has received breaking news direct from Sublime’s Manager.

Today it became official –
The Nowell Estate and Sublime (Bud & Eric) have reached an agreement. Bud and Eric have secured the right to legally use the name “Sublime” and can continue to tour and make music. The official name will be “Sublime with Rome.”

The Pier will be conducting an interview shortly to find out the answers that everyone is dying to know (what’s the dilly with Recording and Tour Plans). A new website and MySpace will be launching soon but for now you can either tune into our own Sublime Blog or Their New Facebook Page Here. We will keep everyone updated with more news as soon as it is available to us.

The B Foundation gets Warped

With the first round of band announcements for 2010 it was puzzling to see no reggae rock bands featured in the line-up! Now what will hopefully be the first of many, The B Foundation has been added to selected Warped Tour Dates.

Ian McGrath drummer for The B Foundation tells The Pier, “We are stoked about becoming a part of Vans Warped Tour history because it is the most iconic music festival that has done so much to link lifestyle with music and extreme sports, and some of the biggest bands in the world have been a part of it. It is great to become part of the Warped Tour legacy. I’m looking forward to meeting tons of new musicians and fans, and growing The B Foundation family.”
