Rain in North Carolina

3 Days and no shower…Today we played at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Charolette, NC. Just when we thought we couldn’t get any swampier, it started pouring rain. Lucky for us we played at 2:15 and beat the madness. We’re on our way to Orlando, FL. Duddy’s packin the Gold Bond so we should be good to go.

Interview: Aimee Allen

Vocalist Aimee Allen has treaded a tough path in recent times. She went through a tough break-up and even worse was assaulted outside a recording studio in Los Angeles, where she was working on her latest release A Little Happiness. The wounds may remain, but with an extensive touring schedule on the horizon and with the recent release of her fantastic new album, things have never looked brighter for Ms Allen.

Beastie Boys Delay Album & Tour Due to Illness

The Beastie Boys has canceled its recently announced tour dates and delayed its forthcoming record due to illness. The band’s label issued this statement:

Adam “MCA” Yauch of Beastie Boys was diagnosed last week as having a cancerous tumor in his left parotid (salivary) gland. Luckily it was caught early and is localized in one area, and as such is considered very treatable. It will however require surgery and several weeks of additional treatment. Fortunately the cancer is not in a location that will affect Yauch’s vocal chords. Beastie Boys has canceled all upcoming concert appearances to allow time for Yauch’s surgery and recovery. The release of the band’s forthcoming album Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 will also be pushed back.

We are currently in the middle of the writing process. We are feeling real good about the new songs and are gonna record a little here and there over the rest of 09 and hope to put it out in 2010 – Jah Willing.
